I live in Southeast Scarborough (Ontario), and I care about plenty of things. For starters, I have kids, so I care about how they are growing up and the skills and relationships they are forming at school and in the community. I also care about the community itself, and when I say community, I mean the place that is Scarborough, and the people who live here. I have a special fondness of our natural and green spaces, and I care deeply about the well-being of my neighbours. I want to be part of a community that understands, celebrates, and supports each other.
A deep-rooted belief I have is that when people share ideas, we develop a stronger sense of community. Hearing each others’ stories helps us to understand our shared joys and challenges, and creates a foundation for building a better place for everyone.
This blog is one way of sharing stories. I’ll share some, and I’m hoping you will share yours too. If you’d rather, you can reach me at NurturingTheVillage@gmail.com.
Looking forward to getting to know you better!
